Edibles nowadays come in many shapes and forms. So we decided to treat you to a recipe for cannabis infused hamburgers! Enjoy!

The trend in cooking with cannabis has definitely evolved, to say the least. Back when edibles were first introduced to herb-loving individuals, they usually came in the form of sweets, such as brownies, cakes and cookies. Pretty soon, they were also available in the form of gummy candies.

Nowadays, people are getting more creative and finding new ways of mixing marijuana into their food. The latest trend: cannabis-infused meat.

It may come off as a strange idea at first, but some individuals were are able to make it work and came up with some seriously juicy recipes.

N.B. The following recipe is with an estimated amount of marijuana. Remember that edibles can hit harder then you expect, so feel free to judge the amount according to your own experience. It is strongly advised to first learn how to calculate the strength of edibles.

CANNABIS-INFUSED BURGERS

Every non-vegetarian loves a juicy burger, but wouldn’t it even be better if it were laden with your favorite herb? Hell yes! Making a canna-burger is considered as the easiest thing among cannabis-infused meat dishes, but the tastiest as well.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams/1 lbs of ground beef
  • ½ gram of decarboxylated and finely ground cannabis buds of your choice
  • 1 finely sliced onion
  • ½ beaten egg
  • salt, paprika, garlic, and pepper for seasoning
  • burger buns
  • vegetables
  • condiments of your choice: ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
  • cheese

Preparation:

The first step is to take a huge bowl and drop in the meat, the ground herb, the egg, and then top it off with your seasoning. Mix it thoroughly.

After this, take the mix and flatten it on a clean surface to achieve a uniform thickness. Idealy the burger patties should be a bit thick to withstand shrinkage when fried or grilled.

After making the ideal patties, put them on a plate using a spatula, and place them in the fridge for a few hours.

Once this process is complete, it is time to cook your canna-burgers. If you choose to fry your burgers, place some olive oil in a pan and heat it under high temperature. You then place the patties to cook and flip them after a minute. Once both sides are heated, you can now lower the heat to a medium temperature, and leave it for up to ten minutes to cook further.

The length of time, should, of course, depend on how rare or well done you want your burgers to be.

If you choose to barbecue your canna-burgers, place the mixed raw patties onto a hot grill, and like how it is with the fryer, flip them after a minute, and leave them grilling for five to ten minutes.

Just for reference, a rare burger patty is cooked at 60°C/140°F, 70°C/158°F for medium, and 80°C/176°F for well-done. Going any hotter would char your burger, and will no longer be suitable for consumption.

Enjoy!
