Our step by step guide will have you sinking into blissful nirvana as you experience the ultimate in relaxation with CBD infused bath bomb salts. The only thing we can't help with is who gets to take the first bath.

There’s nothing more satisfying than sinking into a warm, steamy bath after a long and stressful day. The water unlocks the muscles, melts away tension, and brings the mind into the present moment. This blissful comfort is nice enough, but it can be brought to another level using the marvelous invention that is the bath bomb. These balls of soap erupt into a fizz when dropped into the water, releasing skin-nourishing compounds and aromatic molecules into the bath, turning the water into bright and brilliant colors and diffusing pleasant aromas into the air. It doesn’t seem like there’s much room to improve these spheres of relaxation, but there is: enter CBD.

CBD is a non-psychotropic cannabinoid derived from cannabis and hemp, known far and wide for its therapeutic properties. What makes this molecule such an effective addition to bath bombs are its profound anti-inflammatory effects and benefits for skin health. It’s no surprise that bath bombs are extremely popular, but they can also be quite expensive. For this reason, we’re going to help you save some money and make your own CBD bath bombs at home using a simple recipe.

ADD A HEALTH BOOSTING FIZZ TO BATH TIME

CBD is held in high regard for its ability to promote improved well-being, as well as providing all the therapeutic value of cannabis without the psychoactive side effects. What better way to truly relax than with the amplified effect of the CBD and bathwater soothing muscles.

Don’t for one second think this kind of luxury is exclusive to the ladies, trust us when we say both men and women will be fighting over the bathroom when they have experienced the fizz of CBD bath salts.

CBD INFUSED BATH SALTS RECIPE

Servings: 4-5 cups
Preperation time: 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 60ml or ¼ cup of CBD oil/ CBD Infused olive oil
  • 4 cups of Epsom Salts
  • 20 drops of essential oils
  • 1 lemon and/or orange

The CBD oil can be store bought or homemade and added to the mixture, or you can create some CBD infused olive oil beforehand using the recipe listed below. The only minor alteration needed is replacing the THC strain with a CBD-only strain. If you choose CBD infused olive oil, any excess oil can be used on dinner that night!

HARDWARE:

  • Fine grater
  • Large bowl
  • Rubber gloves
  • 3 Mason jars
  • Rubber duck (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Start by zesting both the orange and the lemon. Using the fine grater, stop when you see the inner white flesh of both. You can use just a lemon if you prefer. The zest acts as a pleasant aroma and to provide some color, so experiment with your preference.
  2. In the large bowl, mix the remaining ingredients and the zest. Make sure you wear gloves when doing so. Blend by hand until all ingredients are combined thoroughly.
  3. Transfer the mixture into as many mason jars as needed. Now all you have to do is add the equivalent to ¾-1 cup worth of CBD infused bath salts to your bath, sit back and relax as you feel the fizz soothing your body.

THE BENEFITS OF CBD BATH BOMBS

CBD bath bombs are far superior to their standard bath bomb counterparts.

Dunking into a bath infused with CBD after a football match or heavy gym session will soothe your sore muscles and get you back to full form in no time. CBD is capable of reducing the inflammatory response through its interaction with the endocannabinoid system, a regulatory system in the body that mediates many physiological processes.

The endocannabinoid system has been found to exist throughout the skin, where it is involved in proliferation, growth, and hormone production. Thus, adding CBD into the bath can help soothe the skin, and may reduce some of the symptoms associated with skin issues such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis.
