Smoking weed doesn't necessarily have to cause a sore throat. But when it does, it makes smoking your favorite herb nowhere near as enjoyable as usual. Although you can still get your toke on with a sore throat, it can be pretty darn annoying. Not to mention, it can feel as though you're going to cough up a lung, or even two.

The most obvious cure for a sore throat is hydration. Rather than drinking just a couple cups of water, chug it like it's going out of style. In other words, to the point where your urine is clear. That way, in case you've developed a virus of some sorts, you can help flush it out. At the same time, you'll relieve any dryness and itching.
EAT CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP OR OTHER SOFT FOODS
It's tough to eat when you have a sore throat. But it's important not to starve yourself or else you'll wind up getting even sicker. Rather than chowing down on something hard like a steak, try chicken noodle soup, mashed potatoes, or other soft foods instead. Yogurt, bananas, and applesauce are good options as well.
GARGLE WARM SALT WATER
Ok, so swashing around warm salt water in your throat isn't the tastiest. But if you want to relieve inflammation and pain, then warm salt water can help. Just drop about a tablespoon full of salt into a cup of warm water, gargle, and spit it out. Do not swallow it though, as it will dehydrate you more.
USE A HUMIDIFIER OR VAPORIZER
When the air is dry and overly hot, it will undoubtedly cause your throat to become sore. To add some vapor to the air, turn on a vaporizer or humidifier at night while you sleep.
When you wake up the next day, you should notice a difference in how your throat feels. It's also not a bad idea to use one even when you don't have a sore throat, especially during the wintertime. That way, you might at least help prevent getting sick.
SIP ON A CUP OF HERBAL TEA WITH HONEY
As a kid, your parents might have tried to get you to take a teaspoon of honey for your sore throat. That's because it helps. But consuming it by itself isn't all that enjoyable for everyone, which is all the more reason to add it to a cup of hot tea.
Not only will this combo help the honey go down more comfortably, but it also feels fantastic when your throat is dry and itchy. So fantastic, in fact, that you'll probably want more than just a cup.
Some people recommend homemade ginger tea instead of herbal tea. Ginger helps flushing out toxins from your body and it kills bacteria with its anti-inflammatory proporties. Just chop up some ginger and slowly boil it in water. Adding honey is still a great idea when drinking the ginger mix.

Throat lozenges, or cough drops, come in all sorts of flavors. Not to mention, they're affordable and are a great way to minimize the pain accompanied by a sore throat.
