RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA IN PORTUGAL

Portugal does not have any official program for medical marijuana, but all drugs are technically decriminalized in Portugal since 2001 and this includes cannabis.

In real life this means that it is allowed to carry small amounts of cannabis for personal use.

Cops are in general not really interested in cannabis smokers, but if you do get in trouble somehow, you might still be fined for possession and even end up at the Commission for the Dissuasion of Drug Addiction and get admitted for treatment.
