The cultivation, sale, and possession of cannabis for recreational purposes are illegal in Hungary.
Possession of cannabis in Hungary is considered illegal and can lead to severe punishments. That said, it is known that in Hungary the police might not care that much if they would catch a person smoking cannabis or possessing a very small amount for personal use.
Beware that in Hungary there is no change in the law between different substances and if you do get caught, it might just as easy mean you end up in jail.
