RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA IN MOZAMBIQUE
The cultivation, sale, and possession of cannabis for recreational purposes are illegal in Mozambique.
Although cannabis is widely used and grown throughout the country, cannabis is still illegal in Mozambique.
Many farmers grow cannabis because it’s the only crop that makes enough money to get by, even though technically it is illegal. It is said that the government sometimes tolerated the crops, but technically any kind of possession as well as cultivation of marijuana is illegal in Mozambique and can be punished.
We are not aware of any possible law changes in the (near) future in Mozambique regarding medical and/or recreational cannabis.
