RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA IN MALTA
Possession of small amounts of cannabis for personal usage is decriminalized in Malta.
Posession of a small portion of cannabis for personal use is decriminalized in Malta, as well as growing a single marijuana plant. Decriminalized in this case means that the police still has the right to arrest a person for possession.
In 2017 there have been talks in the government to legalize medical usage of marijuana. The Maltese Medical Authority is said to be researching the possibility of importing medicine containing marijuana and even licensing medical marijuana in plant form. So far no laws have been changed.
